One score.
Many dimensions.

The suss. trust engine combines independent signals across four dimensions, weighted by reliability and recency. Any detected risk signal overrides positive trust data entirely — safety always wins over reputation.

01

Reputation Intelligence

Independent signals on how a business is perceived by its customers, partners, and the broader web. Weighted for volume, recency, and consistency.

02

Registration History

How long the domain has existed, how it has changed, and what it claims to represent. Recently registered domains get reduced trust by default.

03

Active Threat Intelligence

Live signals about phishing, malware, and fraud infrastructure. Any active threat overrides positive trust entirely.

04

suss. Trust Graph

Our proprietary network of cross-reported scams, entity reputation, and behavioral patterns. Our data moat grows with every scan.

What the
levels mean.

Verified
80-100
Strong positive signals from multiple sources. Long domain history, high review volume, no active threats. Safe to transact.
Established
65-79
Good reputation with moderate data. Usually a known brand or long-running business with healthy engagement.
Moderate
50-64
Mixed or limited data. Worth extra caution for high-value transactions. Not a warning, but not a green light.
New / Unknown
0-49
Limited verification data. New domain, thin reputation, or unverified ownership. Could be legitimate but is unproven.
Suspicious
Override
Active risk signals detected — phishing, malware, scam reports, or known bad infrastructure. Never trust.

How do I know if a website is safe?

Enter the domain in the trust lookup above. suss. combines independent reputation signals, registration history, active threat intelligence, and our proprietary trust graph into a single score. A verified or established level means the site has strong positive signals across multiple dimensions. A limited data level doesn't mean unsafe; it means we have less independent information to verify.

What is a domain trust score?

A 0-100 assessment of how trustworthy a website is, based on independent, verifiable signals. suss. fuses reputation intelligence, registration history, transport security, and active threat data into a single editorial score — with safety overrides so that any detected risk signal always wins over positive trust data.

Is the suss. trust checker free?

Yes. Unlimited lookups, no signup, no credit card. Results are cached for 7 days per domain to stay fresh without hammering upstream sources. Institutions and developers who need programmatic access can use our Trust API.

How accurate is the trust score?

Each source is weighted by reliability and recency. Stale data is deprioritized. Risk signals override trust reductions entirely — so a site with great reviews and a long domain history will still be flagged as risky if we detect active phishing, fraud reports, or malware. We publish our methodology and run a weekly canary suite against 19 known-good and known-bad domains to catch regressions.

Can I integrate trust scores into my platform?

Yes. The Trust API returns the same score, signals, and evidence via a single REST endpoint with sub-500ms latency. It's used by marketplaces to score listings, banks to pre-check payment destinations, and universities to verify links in student email. Book a demo from /solutions.
