suss. was founded by members of the TikTok North America Risk team. We built content integrity and fraud detection systems serving hundreds of millions of users. We saw what platforms catch. We saw what they miss. We saw the gap between transaction-level fraud tools and the social engineering that comes before every loss. suss. exists to close that gap.

Trust is the scarcest resource online.

Fraud tools catch transactions. We catch conversations.
Most scam losses start with a message, not a payment. By the time traditional fraud tools see it, the wire is already gone. suss. intervenes at the moment of deception, not the moment of loss.

Protection should be infrastructure, not an app to install.
The people who need protection most are the least likely to download a security tool. suss. deploys through institutions, sits inside Microsoft 365, and gets to work the same day. One policy, no onboarding.

Guidance changes behavior. Blocking doesn't.
Telling someone "this is blocked" teaches them nothing. Telling them "this looks like a known vendor but several things don't add up, call the number on file" teaches them to protect themselves the next time, too.

Absence of data is not evidence of risk.
A new domain is not a scam domain. An unknown number is not a scam number. Every trust system that treats unknowns as threats trains its users to ignore warnings. We refuse to build that.
